제목 Empirical Study for The Effects of the Various Filler-Shapeson the Modulus for PP Composites
초록 This paper was studied on the mechanical properties for composites, especially, the effects of the filler shapes on the modulus for PP composites. They were investigated and compared with experimental results and theoretical approach which include the three dimensional ellipsoids (a1 > a2 > a3) and analyzed by two aspect ratios, ρα = a1/a3 and ρβ = a1/a2 proposed by Lee and Paul and Eshelby’s superposition principle. The shapes of fillers were observed by TEM and aspect ratios were calculated. The longitudinal and transverse young’s moduli for barium sulfate whose shape was sphere (ρα = ρβ = 1) had almost same. The longitudinal modulus for a glass fibers increased as a filler content increased while the amount of increasing for transverse modulus was relatively small.
