제목 Toughness and Conductive Characteristic of Epoxidized Vegetable Oils/Epoxy Nanocomposites Reinforced with Carbon nanotubes
초록 In this study, the epoxidized vegetable oils (EVO) were synthesized using soybean oils and castor oils. The effect of carbon nanotubes on toughness and conductive characteristic of EVO/epoxy nanocomposites reinforced with carbon nanotubes was studied. Carbon nanotubes were modified using a mixture of concentrated nitric acids (HNO3) and sulphuric acids (H2SO4) in a ratio of 1:3 to improve its interfacial adhesion to EVO/epoxy matrix. The toughness of the nanocomposites was investigated through the critical stress intensity factor (KIC) measurement. Electric resistance of the nanocomposites was tested using a 4-point-probe electric resistivity tester.
