Acryl/urethane resin was prepared as an adhesive to transfer the conductive material onto the transparent film. Urethane based resin is becoming increasingly important as an adhesive material because it has excellent flexibility, adhesion and abrasion resistance. However, the conventional polyurethane is known to exhibit a poor thermal stability and opaqueness. We used a heterocyclic group of materials for urethane synthesis to improve thermal stability, and applied various combinations of high molecular weight commercial polyols and good transparent aliphatic isocyanates. The synthesized urethane oligomer was acrylated using acrylic monomers, and then mixed in varying concentrations of multi-functionality acrylates. The acryl/urethane resin were mixed with photo initiator and coated onto a transparent film that was specially patterned with conductive material. The mechanical properties, thermal properties, and optical properties of the cured films were investigated. |
