제목 Tunable ionic liquids properties towards dimethyl carbonate production from CO2 and methanol: Circumventing thermodynamic limitations
초록 The utilization of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere to form useful fuel additives is a hot topic in current, this is because of, rising level of CO2 in the atmosphere. Dimethyl carbonate (DMC) is a useful as an oxygen booster, electrolyte in battery, and organic solvent. There are several types of homo and heterogeneous catalytic system. However, the key issues for DMC synthesis are lower yield and formation of large amount of H2O in the reaction mixture. Therefore, several types of ionic liquids (ILs) were synthesized for solving such kinds of problems but the problems will not be solved till date. For these instances, we synthesized tunable dicationic ILs with modified synthetic procedure and analyzed by various spectroscopic and microscopic technique. The ILs used for production of DMC and we observed that the ILs absorbed more H2O from the reaction mixture with five times reusability without any loss of activity.
