제목 | Treatment exploiting charge convertible polymer for tumor environment specific photodynamic therapy. |
초록 | Cancer treatment is a problem to be solved in modern society. Representative therapy is Photodynamic therapy (PDT), which generates Reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation upon laser irradiation. However, ROS can damage to both cancer and normal tissue. Therefore, these therapies must have cancer specific toxicity and water solubility. In this study, we used a tumor microenvironment (TME) for cancer specific therapy. PS was conjugated to hydrophilic and low pH specific polymer. (PS-HLP). In the physiological condition, PS-HLP has a negative charge. In TME, it turns to positive charge. Positively charged PS-HLP is attached to the surface of cancer and penetrates well inside. Conjugation of the polymer and PS was confirmed using 1H-NMR, fluorescence. Size of PS-HLP was seem through Dynamic light scattering. pH specific penetration was measured through flow cytometry, confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) in vitro. And the treatment effect was confirmed through MTT assay test. |
