제목 Characteristic of AlN films with various Co content
초록 The configuration of the films covers the combinations of metal-insulators and metal semiconductors. Recent high technology developments of electronic devices have led to a demand for miniaturization of magnetic devices operating at frequencies higher than 50 MHz. For such devices, it is required that the magnetic materials have a sufficiently large electrical resistivity ρ and are in the form of thin films because of the suppression of eddy current losses, because for their applications one of the most important properties of the materials is the frequency response of the permeability (μ). In electromagnetism, permeability is the degree of magnetization of a material that responds linearly to an applied magnetic field. Soft ferrite materials are not applicable to such devices due to their small saturation magnetization. On the contrary, soft metallic materials seem to be suitable candidates due to their high saturation magnetization. There has been an interest in high-density recording technology, and recently this topic has become the subject of intensive study. On the other hand, metal heads, for use with high Hc metal media utilizing metallic materials such as metal sendust and single-phase amorphous films have also been introduced in order to achieve high-density recording. In order to apply amorphous films in metal heads, a high saturation magnetic flux density Bs, a high electrical resistivity ρ, a low coercive force Hc and a high permeability μ are needed to obtain good recording and reproducing characteristics. Also a high thermal stability is required to prevent crystallization of the amorphous films during heat treatment in the head fabrication process.
