제목 A population balance model for deracemization using Lattice Boltzmann method
초록 Chirality plays an important role in various industries like pharmaceutical industry, and it is crucial to distinguish between two enantiomers because the two enantiomers can have vastly different effects. The mechanism of deracemization, including growth, attrition, agglomeration and racemization, can be modeled by population balance. Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is appropriate for solving population balance equations (PBEs) with all mechanisms of deracemization. In this work, we present a mathematical model of this process based on population balance equations with Lattice Boltzmann method. This model can explain the experimental results.
