| 제목 | Process for producing 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB) in the presence of a basic catalytic system |
| 초록 | 5-Ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB), the third components of a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and diene monomer (EPDM rubber), is commercially obtained by the isomerization of 5-vinyl-2-norbornene (VNB). A catalytic system consisting of an alkali metal hydride and an diamine was developed for the isomerization. Mechanistic study showed that the isomerization proceeds through a radical mechanism. |
