Electrospray depotion(ESD) is emerging as an attractive printing method because of its simple apparatus and high productivity for the thin-film fabrication of sonjugated polymer materials such as poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT). ESD also use much more dilute solution than spin-coating, resulting in less materials discarded and circumventing the solubility problem for organic films. The lowest conductivities achieved were 140 and 42ohm/squate qhen the layers were 80- and 150nm thick, repectively. A pitched pattern of size ~50-100um was also easily formed via selecitve deposition of liquid droplets through a stencil mask. Using th optimized ESD conditions, we fabricated a electrode for the organic solar cells and show a performance equivalent to that of devices based on a conventional ITO electrode. |
