Organic Solar Cell Fabrication by Drop-on-Demand Ink-jet Printing |

We have demonstrated that the direct writing of P3HT:PCBM composite in BHJ solar cell can be efficiently addressed by inkjet printing technology using conventional chlorobenzene ink solution. The structure of inkjet-printed P3TH:PCBM BHJ film was fabricated by the repetitive direct writing of new line overlapped partially on former line, and its conformation could be controlled by printing condition such as droplet overlap or substrate temperature. Also, the micropattern-like film structure self-aligned from P3HT:PCBM BHJ composite by inkjet printing approach could be obtained inthis study. The best structure of P3HT:PCBM film for BHJ solar cell was observed from around 50% of droplet overlaps with 2 wt.% BHJ ink at 25 °C of substrate temperature. Base upon these results we conclude that the direct writing approach of BHJ composite by inkjet printing is expected to be capable of efficient large area manufacturing system for organic solar cell. |
