Zwitterionic fluorescent polymers (ZFPs) are developed by using polysulfobetaine methacrylate, NIPAAm and BODIPY fluorophores to examine the patterning characteristic based on mussel-inspired surface modification. The ZFPs were well characterized by H-NMR, UV-vis, fluorescence spectra, and XPS measurement. The fluorescence spectra of the prepared ZFP assured the green BODIPY emission peak at around 550 nm with excitation of 526 nm. Water contact angle measurements of ZFP show the changes of angle upon altering the pH. The ZFP was developed on PDMS stamps and imprinted onto the glass substrate which provided a green fluorescent micropattern under fluorescence microscope and makes the ZFP a powerful tool for development of a useful patterned substrate for various applications. |
