제목 Characterization of dicyclopentadiene/ 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene/functionalized MWNT nanocomposites produced by ring-opening metathesis polymerization
초록 Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) and 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene (ENB) as healing agents have recently attracted significant attention in the self-healing field. In this work, DCPD, ENB and their mixtures reinforced by norbornene-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) were prepared via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) in the presence of 1st or 2nd generation Grubbs' catalyst. The tensile properties and the fracture surface of the resulting composites were analyzed by UTM and FE-SEM, respectively. Moreover, the glass transition temperature (Tg) and the fractional conversion were observed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
