Bio-Inspired Porous Hybrid of Graphene and Carbon Nanotube as Efficient Metal-Free Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Reduction Reaction |
초록 |
Graphene oxide (GO) gives rise to hydrophilic property due to the presence of surface functional groups while CNTs are hydrophobic, hybrid structure of graphene and CNT can provide active sites for both liquid and gaseous phases which are essential in enhancing the electrocatalytic reduction of oxygen necessary for fuel cell. Herein, we report the metal-free electrocatalyst composed of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and polyelectrolyte functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). we found interestingly that the ratio between the hydrophilic rGO with respect to the hydrophobic CNT is critical in optimization for the effective oxygen transport to the catalytic surfaces, which results in the varying number of electron involved during the ORR. |
