제목 Fabrication of Free Standing TiO2 Nanotubes by 2 Step-Anodization with Organic Electrolyte
초록 TiO2 has been attracted as a promising photocatalyst for hydrogen energy generation and pollutant removal due to its chemical stability and photostability. Especially, 1-dimensional nanotubes and nanofibers have shown high efficiency with lower electron-hole recombination rate. It results from their short diffusion path length of photogenerated charges than 0-dimensional nanospheres. 1-D TiO2 nanotubes can be easily synthesized by simple varying anodization conditions, such as temperature, applied potential, electrolyte composition and so on. However, anodized TiO2 nanotubes have a limitation on practical use in various applications due to the difficulty of separating themselves from Ti substrate. In this work, we have tried to separated TiO2 nanotubes from Ti substrate by 2-step anodization with adjusting applied potential in organic electrolyte. Characterization was also conducted to determine the stability of free-standing TiO2 nanotubes.
