제목 Immobilization of protein drugs using UV curable gelatin derivatives and preparation of injectable formulations
초록 Medical materials are used to diagnose and treat disease, replace damaged body parts, or promote regeneration. These substances should not induce side effects or immunodeficiency reactions and should be capable of maintaining the function of the substance for an appropriate period of time, depending on the therapeutic purpose. Natural polymers have low immune-reactivity and excellent biocompatibility and can be applied to various medical fields. Among them, gelatin which has hydrogel property and can exhibit long lasting effect is adopted. It was confirmed by 1H-NMR and FT-IR that an azido group was introduced into the gelatin. In addition, cell proliferation test confirmed that the immobilized protein drug had a sustained effect and was harmless in the body. Fluorescence microscopy confirmed the immobilization of the protein, which confirmed the ability to immobilize the drug. Based on these characteristics, Az-gelatin is expected to be used as an injectable drug in the medical field.
