Effects of Nickel deposition on Mechanical and Surface Properties of a Single Carbon Fiber |
초록 |
An electroless nickel plating on carbon fiber surfaces was employed to control surface tension of the fibers, and the effects of nickel plating on the mechanical and surface properties were investigated. The surface properties of the fibers was measured in terms of XRD, XPS, and SEM. The surface tension of the single fiber was observed using a dynamic contact angle. The mechanical properties of a Ni-plated carbon fiber was studied in the respect of the correlation with surface properties of the fiber. |
