Structural and electrical properties of sodium vanadate phosphate glasses |

In this paper we have reported the structural and other properties for different compositions of Na2O-V2O5-P2O5 semiconducting glasses. There were determined for a series of rapidly cooled sodium-containing vanadate phosphate glasses. The glasses were examined the densities, glass transition temperatures, structure, conductivity and so on. The property data indicate significant structural changes in the range of vitrification. The changes in density and Tg are consistent with a coordination change of the vanadium upwards from four. It has also been observed from the analysis of FT-IR spectra. The composition dependence of the optical gap is consistent with that of the activation energy for the electrical conductivity. |
