Gamma-Irradiation and Glycerin Effect on the Thermal Properties of PVA Hydrogel |

The thermal behavior of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) hydrogel was examined as a function of gamma-irradiation dose and glycerin amount to develop an advanced wound dressing. A simple crosslinking method was introduced to prepare the PVA hydrogels with the use of gamma-irradiation. The melting temperature of PVA decreased with increasing the dose rate of gamma-ray and amount of glycerin. |
