Phenothiazinochalcone dendrimers: Synthesis, characterization, photophysical and electrochemical properties |
초록 |
Dendrimers are synthetic macromolecules of nanometer dimensions with a tree-like well-defined branched structure and globular shape. This branching architecture leads to a controlled incremental increase in a dendrimer’s molecular weight, size and number of surface group functionalities. Chalcone is a well known α,β-unsaturated compound which are abundantly present in plants and plays a pivotal role in biology and material science. They undergo a variety of chemical reactions and are useful for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. Among the various important applications in biology, chalcones also show interesting optoelectronic properties. Click chemistry probably affords a greater assistance to develop the area of dendrimer chemistry. With such views in mind, the present investigation deals with the synthesis of some new dendrimers bearing phenothiazinochalcone as surface group with triazole as bridging units and investigate their photophysical and electrochemical properties. |
