Structural Effects on Physical Properties of Transparent and Low-Retardation Polyimide Copolymer Films. |

Poly amic acid(PAA)s were prepared by sol-gel procedure. PAA solutions were spin-coated onto a glass substrate and thermally converted into polyimide copolymer films. The chemical structures, optical retardations and optical transparencies of the polyimide films were investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), two-axis out-of-plane retardance measurements and ultravioletvisible (UV-visible) spectrometry. The thermal properties were studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Polyimide through a structural change, retardation is lowered to 110nm was confirmed. So polyimide films that are suitable as a flexible display substrate was confirmed through experiments. |
