제목 Hybrid design for performance improvement of ionic polymer metal composite actuator
초록 We fabricated a series ofhybrid composite membrane in order to achieve effective enhancement in both force generation and displacement of ionic polymer metal composite actuator. The ionomers such as Nafion and sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) were selected as the main matrix of designed hybrid. To introduce inorganic phase in the hybrid, we approached two general methods, dispersion of functionalized silicon dioxide nanoparticles and in-situ sol-gel process of silica organic precursor into ionomeric polymer solution. We characterized membrane properties and structures of the prepared hybrids, and discussed correlation between the structures and actuation performance.
