제목 Thermal Conductivity of Polyurethane Nanocomposite Filled with Surface-modified Carbon Nanotubes
초록 MWNT has come into the spotlight due to extraordinary mechanical, electrical, and thermal characteristics. When MWNT is incorporated into polymer matrices, various properties of the composites are significantly enhanced. In this view point, the uniform dispersion of MWNT in the matrix and the compatibility of MWNT with the matrix is the major concerns in order to obtain maximized properties. In this work, MWNT is oxidized to have hydroxyl groups and subsequently used in the fabrication of polyurethane nanocomposite via in-situ polymerization. The effect of surface treatment is investigated in terms of mechanical properties and especially thermal conductivity of the nanocomposites.
