Stimuli-responsive polymer brushes allow surface properties, such as hydrophobic, hydrophilic, wettability, biosensor and cell/tissue engineering field. Modified surface based on the honeycomb-patterned and silane-modified layer have been achieved using the breath figure method (BF) and surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization. Fabricated honeycomb-pattern surface can be divided two different sections such as produced porous part of the film and covered surface part as polymer. Thermo- and pH-sensitive polymer brush grows in the two place which hole and remaining part. As a result, immobilized on surface two type polymer brushes grows in the shape of hexagonal structure created by BF. Obtained stimulus-responsive polymer brush surface is supported by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, contact angle and atomic force microscopy. |
