제목 Preparation of Porous Polymers by Furan-Maleimide Diels-Alder Reaction
초록 Microporous organic polymers (MOPs) have been widely investigated as materials having high specific surface areas and physiochemical stability. A number of MOPs have been prepared by transition metal-mediated coupling reactions, which have often suffered from problems such as difficulty in the purification of the products and high cost of the catalysts. There has been continuous interest in metal catalyst-free reactions for the mass production of MOPs that can alleviate environmental and economic concerns. In this study, we prepared porous organic polymers by a catalyst-free Diels-Alder reaction using a furan as a diene and a maleimide as a dienophile. We were able to introduce functionality into the polymers by taking advantage of the thermal reversibility of the Diels-Alder linkage.
