Well-defined polymeric emulsifiers with various polycarboxylates were synthesized and characterized via controlled radical polymerization technique, because water-borne pressure-sensitive adhesive(PSA) with conventional low molecular weight surfactants showed low water resistance as well as low durability. A series of polymeric emulsifiers composed of n-butyl acrylate, acrylic acid were synthesized by changing composition, molecular weight, and evaluated their ability of aggregates and stability during emulsion polymerizations. |
