제목 Long-Range Ordering of Block Copolymers on Well-Controlled Soft Nanostripes
초록 We present a simple method to achieve long-range ordering of block copolymers (BCPs) in thin films by combining solvent-annealing process and patterned surface. Unique nano-stripes of poly(tetrafluoro ethylene) (PTFE) which possess outstanding linearity were generated by rubbing a PTFE bar on Si substrates. Because of its low friction coefficient and high wear rate, the array of PTFE stripes with ~ 20 nm in amplitude and ~ 200 nm in pitch distance was aligned along the rubbing direction. Then, thin films of asymmetric diblock copolymers were solvent-annealed on the PTFE patterned substrates in organic solvent vapor. As a result, the long-range order of BCP nanodomains was dramatically enhanced due to the effect of underlying PTFE nanostripes in large area. The morphology and ordering behavior of BCPs on the patterned surface were also characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and grazing incidence small angle X-ray scattering (GI-SAXS).
