제목 Synthesis of A-D-A Small Molecule Donors with Ladder Type Backbone for Organic Photovoltaics
초록 For last two decades, bulk heterojunction organic solar cells (OSCs) have been investigated owing to their intrinsic properties as mechanical flexibility, low-cost, and roll-to-roll production. Small molecules have many advantages including high puriy with no batch-to-batch variation and easy tuning of optical and electrochemical properties compared with polymeric semiconductor. In this work, we designed and synthesized acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A) small molecule donors with indacenodithieno[3,2-b]thiophene (IDTT) as electron donating unit and the chromone derivatives as electron withdrawing unit. Also, 3-hexylthiophene was introduced as π-bridge to extend the conjugation length and improve the solubility. In order to investigate the photovoltaic properties, inverted type OSCs were fabricated with small molecule donors and PC71BM as accpetor.
