Synthesis and characterization of silver particles for highly conductive metallic pastes |
초록 |
Synthesizing silver particles with tunable sizes in the sub-5 μm regime and good uniformity is essential for their applications in microelectronics. Here, we demonstrate a facile and scalable synthetic route to uniform silver particles in the range of 100 nm-5 μm based on an aqueous solution assisted synthetic method. A simple and effective approach to aqueous based synthesis of silver particles was demonstrated and the effect of temperature on controlling size of silver particles was studied. The focus is on efficient synthesis of pure colloidal silver particles with low sintering temperature and their potential application. The use of the microsized metallic particles allows the formation of the highly conductive patterns followed by heat-treatment at temperatures much lower than the bulk melting temperature. The resistivity variation and characteristic of the silver electrodes was monitored as a function of temperature using a four-point probe and SEM, XRD as well as TGA. |
