Amino group assisted ring-opening polymerization of 1,3-oxathiolane-2-thione and depolymerization of poly(dithiocarbonate). |
초록 |
Poly(dithiocarbonate)s were prepared from cyclic dithiocarbonates through cationic ring-opening polymerization(ROP). The polymerization affords a low yield because it competes with depolymerization, yielding a stable cyclic dithiocarbonate. The presence of an adjacent amino group improves the ROP through the formation of a stable intermediate and a rearranged carbon structure. We isolated and identified polymer and side products to propose a new ROP mechanism. A simple amino attack of cationic initiators, such as methyl and ethyl triflates and dimethyl sulfate, can be suppressed by the introduction of a bulky group or electronic withdrawing group on alkylamine. The thermal stability of poly(dithiocarbonate) will be discussed according to polymerization methods. |
