제목 Enhanced Energy Conversion Efficiency of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with Na2CO3-modified TiO2 layer
초록 Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are one of the most promsing candidates for large-sacle use among photovoltaics because of their potential for low coat. However, nanocrystalline TiO2 particles used as n-type semiconductor in DSSCs are not perfect in terms of solar cell efficiency. In this study, we report on the effects of surface-modified TiO2 on the performance of DSSCs. TiO2 surface was modified with sodium carbonate via a simple dip coating process using sodium carbonate solution, and the modified TiO2 was applied to photoelectrodes of DSSCs. With increasing exposure time of TiO2 layer to the sodium carbonate solution, the photovoltaic properties of DSSCs were enhanced, and then finally saturated.
