Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose/carbon nanotubes (CMC/CNT) nanocomposite films were fabricated by a simple solution casting method. The CNT was used as reinforcement into CMC polymer matrix. The properties and characterization of CMC/CNT nanocomposite films were X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and universal testing machine (UTM). The structural properties and morphologies of CMC/CNT nanocomposite films were investigated by using XRD and SEM, respectively. The mechanical properties of CMC/CNT nanocomposite films were analyzed by UTM. As a result, the tensile strength and Young’s modulus of CMC/CNT nanocomposite films were improved according to the CNT amounts. |
