제목 Degradation studies of nitramine explosives using nano metal oxide PdO
초록 The purpose of this study is to solve the environmental pollution problem caused by nitramine explosives such as RDX and HMX at storage facilities or training grounds. The nano PdO catalyst synthesized by the Sol-Gel method was selected to solve this problem. The BET surface area of the PdO used in this experiment was 16.358 m2/g. The degradation experiment was performed at 313 K by mixing an explosive dissolved in water and nano PdO in an NMR tube. A water suppression NMR pulse sequence was used to acquire 1H NMR spectra according to a change in time of a sample containing water. The intensity and chemical shift of peaks on NMR spectrum were used for kinetic analysis. The reaction rate constants of RDX and HMX degradation  were 2.10×10-2 and 6.35×10-4 h-1, respectively. This study showed that the application of nano PdO for explosives decomposition is feasible option.
