Graphene-based hybrid materials have attracted considerable attention because of their properties such as the excellent mechanical, optical, thermal, and electrical properties. Bridged polysilsesquioxanes(BPS) are family of hybrid organic-inorganic materials prepared by sol-gel processing of monomers that contain a variable organic bridging group and two or more trifunctional silyl groups. In this study, the surface of graphene oxide was modified with ethylenediamine by covalent bonding. We have prepared the BPS-GO hybrid nanocomposite of BPS and amino-functionalized graphene oxide (GO) through ionic interaction between positively charged GO and negatively charged BPS. BPS-GO hybrid nanocomposite was reduced with hydrazine to make BPS-RGO. The characteristics of the hybrid nanocomposites (BPS-RGO) were characterized by various analytical tools. |
