제목 Study on Mechanical, Thermal and Optical of LPSQ by using POSS
초록 Organic-inorganic hybrid materials have been extensively studied in order to overcome the disadvantage of organic and inorganic materials. Silsesquioxane is an organic-inorganic hybrid material with a structure of [SiO1.5R]. Where R is organic functional group. Silsesquioxane can be classified into various structures such as linear, cage and ladder-like etc. Ladder-like polysilsesquioxane (LPSQ) show high thermal stability and excellent mechanical properties because of double-stranded siloxane (Si-O-Si) structure. In addition, the cage-type polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) has a nanometer scale molecular structure and was used as an additive to improve various properties. In this study, LPSQ was synthesized by sol-gel reaction, and POSS used for improving properties was purchased from Hybrid plastic. Mechanical, thermal and optical properties of LPSQ adding POSS were investigated by using pencil hardness, thermogravimetric analysis and haze meter.
