제목 A study on the characteristics of OLED devices according to the position of nitrogen atoms in a pyridine based host with high triplet energy
초록 The triplet energy of the dopant required for blue OLED is basically 2.7 eV or more.
oCBP, known as a material with high triplet energy, has a high value of 3.18 eV.
Accordingly, it is expected that pyridine, an e-withdrawing group, is introduced instead of phenyl to maintain a high triplet and to control the mobility of electrons and holes to improve device performance.
In this study, 2N-oCBP(9-(3-(2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)phenyl)pyridine-4-yl)-9H-carbazole), 4N-oCBP(9-(3-(2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)phenyl)pyridine-2-yl)-9H-carbazole)were synthesized by introducing nitrogen containing pyridine at positions 2 and 4.
When applied to OLED devices, oCBP, 2N-oCBP, and 4N-oCBP exhibited efficiencies of 16.5%, 15.7%, and 15.2%, respectively, and it was confirmed that the reduction in driving voltage and efficiency roll-off were improved.
