The use of vapor-deposited oligomers in OFETs has advantages, good performance and easy purification. However, because the vapor-deposition processing is costly, we synthesized a family of bis(alkylbithiazole) that could be solution-processable. The thiazole unit is one of the electron-accepting azaheterocycles, so oligomers containing bithiazole moieties have been explained to be as n-type transporting materials. The bithiazole units tend to self-assemble into stacked solid structures by the formation of good π-π stacking as well as heteroatom contacts. In a previous presentation, we reported that bis(hexylbithiazole)vinylene (BHBTzV) has multiple crystalline phases and high crystallinity (d-spacing = 18.8 ) through DSC data and XRD data, respectively. Furthermore, BHBTzV has high chemical stability due to low HOMO level. We will discuss chemical properties and TFT performances of synthesized oligomers, a family of bis(alkylbithiazole). |
