제목 Synthesis of SiO2-polystyrene core-shell particles via surface-inifer polymerization technique
초록 Surface-inifer polymerization was used to prepare SiO2-polystyrene core-shell particles in toluene. First, SiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by the Stober method. The resulted 100nm size SiO2 particle were then react with 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) to prepare thiol functionalized SiO2 nanoparticles. Surface-inifer polymerization was conducted on the SH-terminated SiO2 nanoparticles in toluene as solvent. The polymerization of styrene monomer on the SiO2 nanoparticle surface was identified by transmission electron microscopy.
