Directi Single crystallization of Tri-isopropylsilylethynyl Pentacene through scanning corona discharge coating method |

We introduce a simple and fast self-assembled processm scanning coroan discharge coating(SCDC), to fabricate single-crystalline tri-isopropylsilylethynyl pentacene(TIPS PEN). The appartus for SCDC consist of controllable moving stage and Tip-Plate type corona generator. This new method is based on directional solvent evaporation of polymeric solution and electrowetting behavior of the solution under corona discharge. Crystal structures of single crystalline TIPS PEN films were studied by Grazing incident X-ray diffraction. Also we fabricated bottom gate organic thin film transistors with single crystalline TIPS PEN casted by SCDC. These OTFTs exhibits good field effect mobility as high as 0.121cm2V-1S-1 with 104 on/off current ratio. |
