제목 Controllable O2-releasing Macroporous Cryogels for Enhanced Wound Management​
초록 Cryogels have been attracting attention in various biomedical fields due to its macroporous structure, mechanical stability and high absorbency. Molecular oxygen (O2) plays an important role as a signaling molecule in wound healing processes. Hyperoxia (over 21% pO2) has been demonstrated to promote wound healing, such as proliferation and angiogenesis. In this study, we develop oxygen-releasing cryogels composed of thiolated gelatin (GtnSH)and calcium peroxide (CaO2). Oxygen release behavior is controlled by varying the concentration of calcium peroxide (DOmax:8.4-15.2 mg/L O2), and hyperoxic level is sustained for up to 14 hours in vitro. Furthermore, our bioactive scaffolds have been shown to improve wound closure rate and angiogenesis and hemolytic effect. In conclusion, we suggest that our O2-releasing cryogels have great potential as an advance dwound dressing for wound management.
