제목 Preparation and Characterization of Sulfonated Poly(arylene ether sulfone) and Inorganic Composite Membranes as a Proton Exchange Membrane for Fuel cell Application
초록 Organicinorganic composite membranes could be prepared by the incorporation of various inorganic solids into an organic polymer which serves as the matrix component being able to enhanced membrane performances such as thermal stability, mechanical property and methanol crossover. Inorganic oxide such as silica, zirconium oxide, TEOS and montmorillonite have been introduced to increase water retention level at a high temperature In this study, we synthesized the sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES) copolymer and subsequently prepared the composite membrane of SPAES and silica using a hydrophilic silica. The proton conductivity, methanol permeability, ion exchange capacity (IEC), water uptake and thermal properties of the composite membrane prepared were evaluated for PEMFC application.
