제목 Synthesis of comb-shaped copolymer based on polysulfone with sulfonated poly triazole side chains for proton exchange membrane
초록 Comb-shaped copolymers were synthesized through the azide-alkyne click reaction with polysulfone having azidomethyl side group and sulfonated polytriazole containing a terminal ethynyl group. The different ion exchange capacity values of membranes were obtained by changing the chain length of the sulfonated polytriazole. Since the distinct hydrophilic-hydrophobic phase seperated morphology, the comb-shaped copolymer membrane showed outstanding proton conductivity compared to the sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) membrane having a similar IEC. Furthermore, the mechanical strength of the copolymer was found to be superior to that of the linear polysulfone membrane due to the acid-base interaction between the sulfonic acid and triazole groups in sulfonated polytriazoles.
