제목 Facile Fabrication of Silica/Poly(methyl methacrylate) Core/Shell Nanostructures
초록 Silica/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) core/shell spheres were readily fabricated using seeded polymerization in order to enhance the dispersion ability of silica spheres in the PMMA matrix. Monodisperse silica seeds with the diameter range of 100 to 700 nm were prepared by the Stöber method, and subsequently PMMA shell with a few nanometers in thickness was coated on the surface of silica particles. As-prepared silica/PMMA core/shell spheres were dispersed using sonication into PMMA melt, and then the optical properties (e.g., transmittance, refractive index) of the transparent composites were investigated.
