제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of a Heterocyclic Compound for Conductive Transparent Electrodes |
초록 | Future electronic devices demand various function such as portability, lightweight, flexibility, and durability. Conducting organic materials are good candidates for flexible and transparent electrodes in these types of devices due to their ease of solution processability, mechanical stability and low cost. Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT), one of the best conducting polymer, is globally used in the fields of electronics such as organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs), organic field-effect transistors(OTFTs) and organic solar cells(OSCs). However, PEDOT is insoluble in any organic solvents, so doped with poly(styrenesulfonate) (PSS) to be available in solution processing. PSS is acidic leading to low device stability. In this study, a heterocyclic compound composed of EDOT and 5-membered ring unit is synthesized by oxidative polymerization. It is less acidic than PEDOT:PSS, reasonable sheet resistance and good transparent properties. |
