제목 | Flexible Piezoelectric Energy Harvester with a Conducting Polymer for Electrodes |
초록 | With increasing the demand of electronics to be flexible and miniature, many studies have been underway about low-powered systems. Piezoelectric energy harvester is one of the potential technologies, which converts mechanical energy to electrical one. Poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) is a good piezoelectric material for flexible piezoelectric devices compared with brittle ceramic materials. PVDF has less piezoelectric constants than ceramic, but more flexible to be available in flexible electronics. For flexible devices, electrodes are also required flexible, and organic conducting polymer could be a possible way for a suitable electrode. In this study, a conducting polymer consisting of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene(EDOT) and heteroaromatic unit was synthesized by oxidative polymerization. It is hydrophobic and has good interfacial contact with PVDF. The piezoelectric device was fabricated by a simple structure, electrode/PVDF/electrode, and tested by a home-made tester with stretching. |
