Highly porous TiO2 nanofibers were prepared by electro-spinning and carbonization-oxidation process. Titanium dioxide has been extensively used in applications related to environmental cleaning and protection, gas sensing, and production of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The surface morphology of nanofibers was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). x-ray diffraction (XRD). The average diameter of these nanofibers was 80~150nm. Porosity of nanofibers was characterized using brunauer emmett teller (BET). Structure of the sintered composite was characterized using themogravimetric analysis - differential scanning calorimetry (TGA-DSC). There are two endothermic peaks at 360℃and 550℃ which indicate the degradation of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and the formation of TiO2, respectively. |
