제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Cyclo-aliphatic Epoxy Oligosiloxanes with High Refractive Index for Fabrication of Transparent LED Encapsulant
초록 Cyclo-aliphatic epoxy oligosiloxane resins with high refractive index were synthesized by non-hydrolytic sol-gel reaction using 2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane (ECTS), diphenylsilanediol (DPSD) and triphenylsilanol (TPS). The synthesized cyclo-aliphatic epoxy oligosiloxane resins presents high degree of condensation and linear or branch structure regardless of their compositions. Also, molecular species terminated by TPS increase with an increment of TPS. Cyclo-aliphatic epoxy hybrimer bulks fabricated by thermal curing of cycloaliphatic epoxy oligosiloxane resins, hardener and catalyst have high transmittance (~90%) at the wavelength of 450nm, thermal resistance against long thermal aging at high temperature in air and high refractive index over 1.58 to be utilized as a LED encapsulant.
