제목 Polymeric hole- injection layer forhigh-efficiency and long-lifetime organic light-emitting diodes
초록 We remarkably improved the luminous efficiency and device lifetime in small moleculeorganic light-emitting diodes by using a blend of polyaniline-based conducting polymer and a perfluorinated ionomer (PFI) as the hole injection layer (HIL). By single spin coating of conducting polymer blends with PFI, the PFI preferentially resides at the film surface and thus the film work function is greatly increased. This self-organized high work function HIL in OLEDs enhances the hole injection from the anode and the electron blocking at the HIL/hole transporting layer and thereby the device luminous efficiency using the solution processed HIL was greatly improved compared with the small molecule HILs. We also find that the HILs greatly improves device lifetime due to the PFI-enriched surface layer.
