제목 One pot synthesis of silver nanowiresthrough Ionic liquid-mediated polyolprocess
초록 we report that Ionic liquids (ILs) constitute a unique soft material capable of promoting the in-situ growth of silver nanostructures with various shape and sizes. IL-mediated polyol synthesis of silver nanostructures is developed such that silver nitrate (AgNO3) precursor is converted into elemental metal (Ag) by ethylene glycol (EG) in the presence of N-alkyl imidazolium-based ILs. The SEM images reveals that ILs coupled with chloride (IL-Cl) and bromide (IL-Br) resulted silver nanoparticles with well-defined cubic and octahedral shape, respectively, while IL having methylsulfate anion (IL-MeSO4) affords silver nanowires with high aspect ratio. This observation suggests that there is a strong anion effects of ILs on the shape control of the silver nanostructures. Plausible growth mechanism for silver nanostructures in ionic liquids will be presented in terms of physicochemical features of ionic liquids.
