제목 IMPROVED EFFICIENCY OF CdS QUANTUM DOT-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELLS THROUGH ZnS PASSIVATION
초록 Quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs) have recently attracted much attention due to their outstanding opto-electronic properties, because; (1) their optical band gaps can be easily adjusted by varying their sizes, due to quantum confinement effects, (2) they have much higher extinction coefficients than conventional dyes due to the existence of multiple levels, and (3) they are robust and inorganic materials. But surface defect state exist at the interface of the quantum dot (QD) and TiO2. One promising way to reduce the recombination rate through the surface traps is to passivate the surface by coating the ZnS thin layer. In situ growth of the CdS QDs on the TiO2 followed by the deposition of the ZnS passivation layer was synthesized by the repeated chemical bath deposition (CBD) process. The effects of ZnS thin layer on CdS quantum dot-sensitized TiO2 will be presented.
