제목 Synthesis and Properties of PBI Membrnae for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries
초록 During the past decade, the research of vanadium redox flow battery has become one of the fascinating research parts for energy storage system. The ion exchange membrane as the key part of VRFB must have characteristics such as high ion conductivity, good ion selectivity and strong chemical stability. The objective of this study is charactering Polybenzimidazole (PBI) membrane as a separator for a VRFB system. In order to identify potential of PBI, we synthesis the two type of PBI and measured the property of PBI suach as swelling, acid up-take and chemical stability. Cell performance of two type of PBI as a membrane for VRFB was evaluated and  those was compared with Nafion 212 membranes.
